I can believe it. My employer is about twice that size and you’re spot on about the magic of time zone differences and shift changes. Holy shit.

At my company, they have HR people reply-all with threats to write folks up for “abuse of company resources” and that tends to quiet everything down.

Sorry, I was too quick on that response.

Don’t we all go to work for the same reason? To cash a paycheck?

That’s cool and all, but if that room isn’t available for use by the customer, why shouldn’t they get their money back? How is that not fraud?

On the other hand, the WRX and BRZ have plenty of enthusiast fans

The cynic in me wonders if this scandal was simply part of VW’s plan to prepare for the rigors of cheating in Formula 1.

I work for a very large international company myself, and it wouldn’t surprise me in the least if the person at the very, very top had no idea this was going on.

I could certainly be wrong here, but given all the stuff that VW does all around the world, do you believe that the CEO knew the details of everything?

FUCK YES :D

I’m seeing a whole lot of Pats fans defending a whole lot of cheating.

Thier contract. I’m pretty sure there are several ways for Bernie to fuck them over if they don’t play nice.

Arbitrary limits? Many of those limits are because you end up killing the driver if they crash.

You need to show that Pirelli is not making tires according to the specifications laid out in the contract. Otherwise you’re talking out of your ass.

Why do you see it as a distinct positive that the Toyota and BMW won’t look alike, in contrast to the Toyobaru twins?

I work in QA - it’s my fucking job.

I was going to say the very same thing. This is really fucked up, and the next time someone dies someone else is going to say, “I knew this would happen but I was held back from speaking up” and then the lawyers will rightfully eat you alive.

And what the hell is with all the crazies appropriating feminist language while trying to spread this bullshit? Am I the only one noticing this?

These questions aren’t illegal at all to ask. What is illegal is to make hiring decisions based on the protected status of the individual in question.

It doesn’t really matter what they’re shooting for, they’re going to have to deal with local, state and federal agencies, and it’s going to be easiest to test, certify and regulate on large standardized roads with lots and lots of predictable traffic.

You’re supposed to leave enough room in front of you to come to a complete stop. Claiming that the red light is the root cause when it’s actually the distracted driver doesn’t make much sense.
