Well it worked in the Pokémon games. Pokémon Diamond and Pearl had solar panel roads way back in 2006, and since it took a good three years to make the game, the idea goes back to at least 2003.

Why Kerbal Space Program 2? KSP is supposed to be a forever-game like Minecraft. Why can’t they just update the game we already have? I don’t know how to feel about this. It took me a long time to save up to buy KSP and now I have to do it all over again?
