Hey, I hope you had that saved somewhere and didn’t type it out just for my sake. I recognize everything you’re saying. There’s a historical, perpetuating issue with society that needs fixing. You can respond to my point without antagonizing me; we’re on the same side.

Who said that? Not me.

I think you make a good point. I’m certainly in support of her having a 50%+ female cabinet. I’m just against the notion of this “pledge” to do so that Maddow presented her with.

I totally agree with your point in your second paragraph. Regarding your first paragraph, would you agree that it would be better for women if Hillary were to select a cabinet comprising 50%+ women without announcing a quota? Doesn’t it cheapen the accomplishments of these women in achieving a position of power by

Making an effort is different than setting a bright line quota for diversity.

I would be thrilled to have a cabinet comprised of 50%+ women, and don’t doubt that there may be enough qualified female candidates to make it happen. I don’t see how you could think otherwise based on my comment. I also won’t argue with you that, unfortunately, employers often have biases in favor of males. We have a

Exactly. Equality is what we need. Equal consideration for both men and women. Unfortunately the feminists around here looking for preferential treatment for women get more stars than those who want equality. Keep it up with the reason and rationality.

No, what you’re saying is that making choices that aren’t preferential for women is sexism. Preferential treatment for women is actually sexism, same as preferential treatment for men.

I know it’s only been half an hour, but everyone else seems to be appreciating it without making presumptive racist and sexist comments like yours.

I’d also like to say that New Vegas is much better than 3 or 4.

Nope, just exited game and reloaded and it was sitting where he spawns.

I didn’t think about that last bit regarding two-handing critical attacks. I’m still stuck in the Bloodborne mind frame where I believe your visceral attack is only based on your Strength and Skill stats.

Patrick, what do you think about the balancing of invasions in Dark Souls 3? In the previous Souls games and Bloodborne I feel like I’m always getting invaded by someone 20+ levels higher than me with superb PVP gear. Were you regularly able to stand up to your invaders?

Yeah, it’s definitely tougher. I too feel like I mastered the stagger in Bloodborne, but I’ve been getting my ass kicked trying to parry with my Thief’s little buckler in DS3.

I guess I was fortunate. Managed to pull off a parry, then he rolled away from me off the cliff. Love this game.

Yeah, in the Nightmare Frontier and the Nightmare of Mensis. There were also Bell Maidens in Yahar’gul and Chalice Dungeons, but I don’t believe those allowed invaders, only summoned and sustained NPC enemies.

In Bloodborne, each enemy had a number of frames in their attack animation during which they could be parried by a bullet. In Dark Souls, on the other hand, your shields and certain weapons have a number of frames in their parry animations during which you will parry if you are struck. So they’re pretty different

Finally, some reason. Just because it’s negatively affecting Donald Trump doesn’t mean we shouldn’t acknowledge that the system is royally messed up. It’s stacked against anyone who isn’t an establishment candidate, and the next one who gets screwed over could (but not really because it’s the GOP) be a good guy.

The rules ARE stacked against him, and his being a white billionaire doesn’t automatically invalidate his complaints. The rules are made by the GOP establishment to allow them to have a decent amount of control over who their nominee is, and the GOP establishment does NOT want Trump to be their nominee. The rules are,

I haven’t played it, but probably. The story lines in Souls games are very loosely related, and are created such that they are open to player interpretation to begin with. Plus, the story is not told much through narrative or dialogue, more through the environment. Few things will likely be referenced that will
