I mean, I’ve always thought the potential for this series was there, but it was indeed disappointing in its first season. But I would’ve never expected it to be this great, either!
If you would’ve told me that this bonkers ass show would eventually be the best show in the DCTV universe when it premiered I would’ve laughed you out; and yet here we are. The cold open alone provided me with one of the heartiest laughs that I’ve had all week and pretty much every thing that followed was aces.…
Fred Astaire.
They can go back in time and launch drone strikes at weddings throughout history.
“Like letting the Reverse-Flash go...”
Yeah, but she clearly told Thawne “My cousin will find you! He’ll save me!” And then the next episode Brandon Rough beat Thwane’s ass & freed Kara!!!
Dominic Purcell’s decision to have Mick eating or drinking in virtually any non-action scene that he is in continues to be the ArrowVerse’s single best acting choice.
As someone who watched the 70's Cap and Spiderman live actioners many, many times, had a bootleg 1994 Fantastic Four VHS, watched Incredible Hulk religiously along with Wonder Woman.... I will NEVER get tired of superhero movies. This is the fucking golden age I dreamed about as an 8 year old.
I loved that Nate, though he wasn’t in the crossover all that much, got that big heroic moment of catching Supergirl when she fell from the sky. Would have liked an awkward moment of, after a pause, her telling him that he could put her down now.
I’ve said this before and I will continue to repeat it ad nauseam, if 2017 me stopped 2008 me on the way out of Iron Man to tell me what the next decade had in store for heroes going mainstream like they have, I would have slapped myself and called me a liar. We are in the Golden Age of Superhero entertainment.
I won’t argue that it wasn’t rude, but there was such a frantic mood about the whole thing that it doesn’t bother me? Barry and Iris were so desperate that they didn’t even stop to think about getting Joe - at least - of all people to be there with them. They’d just fought their evil doppelgängers, nearly gotten…
This feels like a great place to point out that the Chrome extension Kinjamprove comes with a block function.
Don’t forget Mick+Caitlin.
Wow. We all knew Garber was departing but he couldn’t have gotten a better sendoff than that. It didn’t feel like being written out, it felt like an organic part of the story.
More the people who unironically call themselves white nationalists, and march around synagogues shouting “Sieg Heil!” and so on.
Wally did get that fantastic bullet-toss scene in the wedding fight, but I’ve really been missing him as of late. Agreed, on all fronts!
Red Tomato looked really good.
Also: Mick+good Snart.
Ray’s sudden appearance right as Thawne was about to cut into Supergirl was glorious. I love how they embrace the goofiness.
