It’s funny how often the “every game should be for everyone” apostles fail to see the flaw in their reasoning when they instantly make an amalgamation between a community and its toxic vocal minority.

They sold comparably, but Ghost of Tsushima was just a better game.

I hope you’re aware of who Graham Norton is here Luke because you’re kicking a hornet’s nest.

What about VRR? This has been repeatedly advertised as a “future” feature but still has yet to be delivered. I think this is something that we should be criticizing Sony for not delivering before we worry about all of the things they didn’t deliver from a user-driven wish list.

Lack of a save feature doesn’t make a game harder, it just makes the developers a bunch of dicks.

This isn’t an artistic choice, but a flat out omission. If they are letting you essentially “pause” the game by suspending the console, it’s no different than allowing a “pause” when the console is turned off or if the game is updating.

I only got a chance to play Returnal for about 20 minutes late last night, but I can’t wait to play more.

I’ve been playing the game since it unlocked late yesterday evening and...just...wow. I’ve traditionally detested roguelikes as a genre, but always knew there’d be an exception out there somewhere. And I think Returnal may be it. Similarly, I can’t stand when a game is made intentionally hard purely for its own sake,

That’s a good point. It’s different going to a beach or pool and seeing people of all different ages in bathing suits, live, in person, with dozens/hundreds of other people, and then they’re gone, just a memory, once you or they leave your field of view. But if you have access to see all these people any time you want,

I’ve said it before and I’ll it again: 2001 was a great fucking year. People like to point out how weak the PS2's north american launch line up was, but they often forget just how crazy that first 12 months were for that console, and then the GameCube and Xbox came along. Halo goes without saying, but I’ll go up to

Never really enjoyed any of their output other than Elfen Lied, but it is always sad to see an animation studio close. Here’s hoping all their staff will be able to find employment soon - especially Rin Shin. He’s an excellent designer, and I was always displeased that the opening to Elfen Lied was the only one of his

The photo instructions specifically say “Have someone else take your photo. No selfies,” so don’t even think about an arm’s-length duck-face pout.

If there’s any game in the series that really doesn’t need remake treatment, that’s the one. And honestly, I’d rather get a new entry with a stronger identity (ala RE7) than a souped up version of anything else. Of the three most recent Resident Evil games, that’s been by far the most interesting of the bunch.

Playing the demo I found the dodge mechanic to be almost utterly worthless unless I’m missing some ‘Dark Souls Git Gud Fighting game I-frame’ cap, the button would work as follows.
- Press R1 with the intention of dodging
- Jill contemplates the meaning of the universe. Why are we here? What *is* our purpose. In a world

Agreed. It doesn’t need 400hp, but the fact that it wasn’t really any quicker than a lot of pickups, SUVs, and family haulers really killed the appeal for me.

Depends, it’s pretty normal in my gym. We’ve got two racks, a dedicated squat rack, and then there’s a wide bench setup and an angled one. I’ve literally never seen a single person use the wide bench for bench pressing; I sometimes see people doing step-ups onto it. The power racks are used for everything from

Welp, that’s terrifying. I really hope Kenichi-san means that.

Price change? Novelty has worn off? Saturated market? Quality control? Not listening to customer who said more horsepower?

This is what happens when you’ve saturated the market, don’t advertise the car, and the new model is approaching.

The next day, November 17th, was the day we got arguably the best Metal Gear Solid game, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.
