At least we still have Rob Gronkowski and a beer bong.

At least we still have Verlander and Upton.

I’m from the Midwest, so help me out here. Is “another product of the Southern California public course” a thing, or is this the nerdiest possible version of straight outta Compton?

Part of the problem is that papers like the WSJ and other trusted news sources have dropped the ball on some major issues (most famously, the lack of WMDs in Iraq), so trust in them has eroded. Compounding that, the fast-moving nature of media today is sure to spot it when big papers fuck up, or worse, let too much

swap steph with Isaiah Thomas.

I’ve acknowledged that I’d take any rim-rocking power forward in Blake’s place. As for Steph, even if it’s not his best season, he still provides the unique spectacle of launching shots from anywhere on the court with the expectation that they’ll go in.

After all those World Series titles, it was about time.

Under the WBC rules every Puerto Rican player would qualify for the US team. But yes, like with the UK and constituent entities, there is a strong national identity in Puerto Rico, which along with the large number of talented players hailing from the island made it appealing to have them compete as a separate entity.

That’s Joel’s identical twin who absorbed all the calcium from his bones in the womb, right?

Feel free to replace Blake with any PF who does good dunks.

USA owns Puerto Rico!

What’s the all-NBA all-fun team this season? I’ve got:
Giannis
Westbrook
Blake Griffin

Highlight truther!

The USA vs. Puerto Rico game was one of the most fun sporting events I’ve ever been to. The energy in the stands was like a playoff game. The players were into it. It was affordable. Spending St Patty’s with the PR baseball fans was infinitely better than a bunch of drunk Irish dudes and fuckin amateurs.

I felt a great disturbance in the sport, as if millions of baseball writers suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly choked on their indignation.

Just “Spurs”, not “The Spurs”.

The same Wisc. Team michigan beat two out of 3 times?

Agreed. But their seeding wasn’t as bad as Wisconsin, which is legitimately one of the 20 best teams in the country but got an 8 seed.

Michigan has now won 12 of 14. I said it before. They deserved better than a 7 seed. I know the big 10 wasn’t the strongest this year but a major conference team red hot that wins the conference tournament deserves more respect.

how many rounds will there be, and when is the combine?
