It doesn’t make that big a difference, especially in a lower powered car. Regen only provides moderate stopping power in most cars where weight transfer isn’t a big deal. When you mash on the brake pedal hard the pads are doing most of the work anyway.

Sure they will, because it’s cheaper. The lower-spec Teslas are RWD, and while they are slightly less efficient than the AWD counterparts, it’s not that big of a difference. Part of the reason they haven’t caught on with the enthusiast community is because they’re Fugly.
