And yet, the Republicans in Congress won’t be even the slightest bit annoyed with this (though a few may pronounce token opposition), even though it yet again neuters the idea that Congress is in any way not just another arm of the White House.

Agreed. With the exception of Sens8, I can’t really say that any of these shows were any good.

I can’t stand Lavar Ball but this may be the greatest insult I’ve ever seen regarding this sellout: “Jason Whitlock can’t comment on anything but snacks.”

In Martellus Bennett’s defense, every end of the pool is shallow after Jason Whitlock does a cannonball.

And then I’m gonna go up to my fourth-floor apartment and continue to do whatever the hell it is I want to do.

Do think Whitlock is still mad that nobody here even bothered to fisk his ridiculous WSJ article after the ESPN layoffs? For a fat man he’s thirsty af.

I’m gonna say the slightly obvious here, but Greg Howard did Deadspin and the world a great service by exposing this goddamn malicious phony for what he is.

Measured, reasoned and informative. All the things Whitlock is not.

Thank you for this. They are literally drawing the line at “destruction of the human race.”

Yeah, I’m not keen on the Deadspin bashing Simmons just to be bashing bandwagon either. But Simmons in recent years, after he became Simmons™, thinks of himself as a guru of sports and digital media knowledge, when he doesn’t really know what he’s talking about.

The only party who should have pulled out was Fred Trump.

Wow, look at how supreme those white people are. Truly a shining example of evolution at its peak.

These layoff announcements are getting more and more sudden.

They signed Pujols in order to finalize the multi-billion dollar Fox TV deal, but I agree with the Wilson & Hamilton takes (added a couple of others in my own comment downstream), and they were already overshadowing the Dodgers due to good marketing and actually having been more successful during that period of time.

Hee-hee, “Poo-holes.”

His followers all say that about the stupid executive orders he signs. Nothing has changed, but they think it has because they don’t understand government. I literally had to explain why his tax returns would be helpful in establishing ties to Russia to one of them.

Old diseases. Warmer planet means the permafrost melts, and within that permafrost are diseases and bacteria that have been frozen for thousands of years. No modern human has been exposed to them, so if anything, we might end up being wiped out by a disease that was trapped in the past.

Seriously, how can anyone argue he’s been effective? The only thing that he’s been effective at is rounding up hispanic immigrants. Everything else has been a shit-show- there’s not one thing he’s proposed that’s either happened, been stopped by the courts, or completely tramples over his alleged campaign promises.

Sometimes when you don’t live in the place where a divisive election is happening and you’re told it’s none of your business because you’re not from there, this is why you can happily tell them to fuck off.

Gutting the EPA and pulling out of the Paris Agreement was more or less expected once he won. A rally would certainly be nice, but probably won’t change it while Republicans control Congress and the Presidency (although bringing it up aggressively in town halls might have some effect).

New diseases. Climate refugees. Rising oceans. Sinking cities. But remember: Hillary was just as bad.
