Boris has about as much of LeBron’s general skill set as I do, meaning, we are all physically able to shoot and pass the ball and run up and down the court. To compare Boris to LeBron anymore than that is ridiculous.

I think he is the greatest as well, I just didn’t want to be yelled down for that one point.

That 5/200 deal was meant to keep home grown talent, but so far it seems like it has only pushed away all-stars from their team.

It is crazy to me how much LeBron puts the fear of God in to everyone. People point to the fact that Jordan had stiffer competition in the East as proof that Jordan was better, but the fact that LeBron, and only LeBron is enough to scare marquee free agents away from the East for a decade is absolutely incredible.

I mean, game 1 they looked ready to crush them until Horford went dirty against Morris and game 2 the Wizards almost won despite IT going off for 53 points. Maybe the Celtics keep the home winning streak alive, but from my perspective the Wizards have been the better team in all 4 of the games.

I don’t think the Wizards would get swept. That match-up actually reminds me a lot of the OKC vs. Spurs series when OKC went down 2-0 and then won the next 4. The difference is that the Cavs are still relatively young and fast in key positions and they have (arguably) the greatest player to ever play the game.

It has been hilarious to watch this overhyped garbage, dirty Celtics team get their heads beaten in repeatedly. If Horford doesn’t do a dirty play against Morris, I think the Wizards win game 1, and if Beal doesn’t miss a gimme from 8 feet out at the end of regulation (and if Wall didn’t do his best Westbrook 4th

There are many Republicans from districts HRC won simply because there was not a good alternative candidate to the Republican, but due to the results of this election are now facing legitimately tough opponents that will savage them over this (I know, because I live in one of those districts).

I don’t think that is a serious question simply because the answer is obvious.

He literally said the opposite.

I doubt there is much value in getting the news 5 minutes quicker as Woj himself doesn’t get the extra clicks, Twitter does. The amount of mind share Woj brings as well as an increase in the perception that ESPN is the place to find the latest breaking news does likely add a lot of value.

I believe ESPN’s repeated choice to shun highly talented writers/commentators in favor of the blow-hards that yell the dumbest things the loudest has already started to bite them in the ass and will continue to do so. I’m sure this will just continue that trend.

If you were a youngish elite NBA center, and some team signed you to the mega-max deal of $200,000,000/5 year deal, and that team decided to give you a DNP every game over the life of that contract, how would that make you feel? How do you think it would effect your market after that 5 year contract ended?

Yea, that line really struck me as an awkward way to fit in a petty swipe and Simmons (who doesn’t deserve scorn as an editor) and Whitlock (who definitely does).

Even in an article about Woj and the current ESPN layoffs, you guys find a way to take a petty cheap shot at Simmons.

I have said repeatedly that I wasn’t angry that he was wrong, I was angry that he pretended to be right, and I get frustrated by people like you that also act like he was right. Also, as a pro-tip, your condescending tone doesn’t actually do a good job of covering up your own intellectual insecurities/weaknesses.

No, jackass. Probability is meant to predict an event with an uncertain outcome. The election was determined before election night. Unlike, say, a basketball game in which the outcome is unknown due to player performance, how many points they’ll score, etc. an election is determined by people who vote for a candidate

When there is an event with a binary outcome and someone predicts both things will happen, it doesn’t make them a genius, it makes you a sucker for thinking they are.

Because he thinks that because he had HRC at a 76% chance of winning instead of a 99% chance of winning means he can shit on everyone for being shocked by Trump winning, and that it somehow proved his model right (it wasn’t).

While true, I would like to add: Fuck Nate Silver.
