I for one am ecstatic at this news. The Washington Professional Football Team has been able to ignore cries about their racist name because they have been borderline competent the last two seasons. Looks like that is coming to an end, with the name (hopefully) soon to follow.

Lolz. That is the very definition of blowing the series. By the way, the Cavs lost the series the year prior without Love and Kyrie but no one said the Warriors only won because the Cavs were hurt.

Fair enough. I seemed to extrapolate too much from his “I’m keeping my most vile promises” history.

Yea, they definitely leaked their “proposal” as a test balloon to see what would happen and if it would gain any traction with their people. Turns out, the answer seems to be a definitive “No.”

You have way more faith in the current GOP congresspeople than I do. There are a few that would see their version of “replace” as political suicide, but great many more are so delusional and giddy to gut an overwhelmingly loved program (that has many flaws that need to be and can be fixed) that I think they don’t see

You might be right and I may be wrong, but I am pretty sure that it was a question about the death penalty, which HRC was so readily prepared for that I don’t think Podesta even knew that Donna was trying to leak a question, because HRC had prepped that question so hard for so long. God, Donna is the fucking worst, at

It does, but it is better to have the 3rd and 4th pick than possibly having the number 1 pick that might actually be the 15th pick. Would it really be that shocking if the Lakers got the 2nd or 3rd pick and was able to package it with some solid, but not indispensable, young talent to get Paul George this off-season?

Yes, Tom Perez, the disciplined and devoted public servant, who I guarantee has done more to help people while serving in the White House than you ever will in your life, that man is truly a problem.

Honestly, who the fuck cares who gets credit for a program that betters other people’s lives? They want to start calling it Romneycare again? Fucking good, maybe they will do something the fix the problems that do exist in the system.

Yea, I don’t know why anyone is surprised by this. Embiid is too good on the floor and they rather knock the Lakers out of the top 3 than pick swap with the Kings. This reminds me of what Golden State did to Steph Curry and David Lee the year before they went to the playoffs the first time.

Because they didn’t show cowardice in one scenario (likely because they didn’t understand the implication of their statements) doesn’t mean they aren’t cowards. What they did to DeMarcus is like telling your SO that you love them and want to spend the rest of your life with them and then sending a break-up text a day

THIS. I have been going to Clippers games for over 10 years (since I was way too poor in college to be able to go to Laker games and I could get effectively court-side seats for $20 for Clippers). During that time they have morphed into my favorite team because I have gotten to watch them go from complete sad sack

But trading solid contributors for a young point guard that can’t shoot isn’t throwing in the towel on whatever they are trying to build? Chicago’s trade moves were baffling from a cohesive strategy standpoint.

I think the Lakers did offer Randle, but it would be insane to include the both of them.

DeMarcus Cousins, Serge Ibaka, and Nerlens Noel were all traded around the deadline. Would it have been more fun if it all happened 10 minutes before the deadline? YES. But it is ridiculous to say that this wasn’t an eventful trade deadline.

Simmons hasn’t played one minute in the NBA, we cannot say that is a good pick (and I am pretty low on him turning out to be a star player).

Hinkie’s strategy would have changed once he had a very good foundation set. The problem is that he would have never gotten to that place because he was only good at being able to acquire a shit ton of high value future assets.

Everyone knows that the only thing holding the Bulls back this season has been Taj Gibson. I expect them to win the East now.

I get what “the process” is and I have been arguing on this thread that Colangelo got fleeced because he didn’t understand the market. But if you think that Hinkie was ever going to be able to bring the 76ers a title, you don’t understand the NBA.

I agree. I think Hinkie would have been able to flip Nerlens into way more future assets, ones that likely wouldn’t hit until 2024 or something like that, and definitely not 2 second rounders (what a fucking terrible trade), but I still stand by the idea that Hinkie was inept at actually drafting players. Other than
