I think that is fair, I was just referring to the “baggage” label.

Because people like you have an ideological purity test that HRC failed so you fought her more than you did Trump.

This is a rant of a lunatic disconnected from reality. Just because complex problems require complex and nuanced solutions doesn’t mean that the former Democrat leadership was taking a middle ground or going to the right. And while the Obama administration initially tried to find commonality with the right (because

Sure, definitely wasn’t the people on the far left acting like Hillary saying that because the financial industry is a complex one those involved in it need to be involved in setting up the regulations was some sort of deep betrayal of values and not common fucking sense (as just one example).

One day you will have a job. One day.

What a well thought out response.

Yea, I saw comments in other threads that said the same thing and realized I may have gotten my wires crossed after it was too late to edit.

ETA: Looking at the statistics I realized where I went wrong, it is the 70% white thing that made me think he won in a deep red part of the state because white people are the

Bernie was never going to win the general election, only HRC could have and by constantly undermining HRC the BernieBros cost HRC the election. HRC should have gone into the midwest more and to talk to the people there, failing to do so cost HRC the election. People like me shouldn’t have been smug and belittled

Perez is equally qualified and I think him serving in the Obama White House is a favorable thing. Just because people on the right think that experience is a bad thing doesn’t mean we have to fall into the same trap.

I have, and he wouldn’t have as he couldn’t even get close to winning the Democratic Primary.

Counterpoint: You and people that think like you have a martyr-complex and can go fuck yourself/selves.

Yep. I have to keep reminding myself that Ellison is a good choice and not let these lunatics ruin him for me.

I am also a textbook definition of the moderate Democrat, but live on the west coast, and I think that either would make a fine choice. Maybe if we stop infighting we can take on the large problems we face.

Your last sentence is the truth.

Keith Ellison is a Muslim Democrat who has won his seat easily in a deeply red area. Maybe don’t discount what he brings to the table. I think both would make a fine DNC chair.

Yep. It is frustrating that it seems like, at least for those within my circle, the Hillary supporters (myself included) are willing to admit to the mistakes made whereas the Bernie supporters can’t stop saying “Told ya!” (even though they were wrong).

Yea, I am tired of people talking about the polls. The national polls were close to 100% accurate. Most that I saw had her winning the popular vote by 2-5%, and she won by 3%. I think the take away is to more heavily invest in state polling over national polling.

Definitely wouldn’t have.

Nope. Trump won not because of his message but because of who he was. If Romney talked about building a wall he would have lost. It is because the rubes that Trump took advantage of and mobilized have seen him on TV for years on the Apprentice.

I don’t blame you for wanting to continue to deflect any responsibility that the “Left-wing” of the Democratic Party (also, go fuck yourself for the piety of that thought) had in getting Trump elected. It is much easier to just point the finger at the people that you constantly undermined.
