I never said the problem was quantity of people. I also never advocated putting someone into a job based on race. My comment was pretty straightforward. The problem is that recruiters many times do not care to push people to some of the jobs that exist. When I walked into a recruiter (Active-Duty) the recruiter had no

You could reread what I said and notice I was speaking about the difference between the intelligence field and other fields.

The military is diverse. My comment was directly related to the intelligence fields vs others.

I currently serve in the Navy. Ships are completely desegregated. My comment was more focused on the difference between those in the intelligence field vs. others.

I explained it to you very simply. I never said recruiters are racist. I said they don’t explain or provide sufficient information to the people who walk through their doors. They don’t have to be racist to do that. They just have to want to do the bare minimum to meet their quotas.

I never said the recruiters are racist.

That is simply not true. Not all harder to fill/high skilled jobs are incentivized for them. Many people are simply not aware these jobs exist and just take what the recruiter points them to as fact. They would much rather fill people in whatever slots are needed without regard to scores.

Maybe I have been because I've been there. I responded to an earlier commentor as well. After speaking to many people, they don't know these jobs exist or that they are even qualified. In my case, I had to tell my recruiter the exact job I wanted and they didn't even know it existed.

A lot of people aren't even AWARE that these jobs exists. They show up to the recruiter and the recruiter puts them in whatever job they need filled that month. The standards don't need to be lower. They just need to be aware.

The vast majority of people in the military do not serve in combat roles. The nature of war and warfighting is increasingly being fought in cyberspace. There will be no conscription of women into combat roles. I’m not surprised Hunter only acknowledges the combat side of war because he was an artillery officer.

I encourage you to follow the TSA on instagram. While I think the TSA needs a major overhaul, it is not just “security theater”. The massive amount of weapons they catch on a daily basis is absurd.

Instead of Deadspin/Jezebel crossover, you get the Jezebel/Breitbart crossover. I would make my first ever foray to Breitbart just for the comments section.

To highlight positive qualities? Would you have preferred they instead mentioned that she doesn't clean her room and sometimes stays out past curfew?

What is a “deadlocked Senate President”?

I pictured him 10 lbs heavier and with slightly more gray hair. Great job

This is art.

He's not back, it's a repost from last year. The last line tells you.

And that's why you always leave a note.

I used to throw up eating a slice of cheese when I was a child. I now only feel sick while eating ice cream and can eat a slice of pizza with no negative effects. It's not new age anything.
