Catherine Oxenberg comes from money (she’s also a cousin to both the British and Spanish royal families). I highly doubt that her motives fall anywhere beyond trying to spread the word about adult kids falling into cults to other parents.

My take was she really desperately wanted to take this organization down bc she couldn't get to her daughters she might have her back but she's still out for blood. And rightly so.

My mind went here:

When I was about 9, and obsessed with Dynasty, I made up a story that Catherine Oxenberg was a relative of my grandmother. Why? I don’t know. Still feel guilty about it, but kind of proud of how niche my lie was.

I know most of my sympathy should go to her daughter. But I do feel bad for Catherine Oxenberg. I once put a friend on a blind date with a man and he ended up abusing her for a long time. I just didn’t know he was like that. It’s weird how fleeting decisions that seemed like a good thing can turn so ugly.
