Well, that dude certainly has a rock-solid legacy to leave his kids.

This is our Jeep Liberty diesel climbing a steeper hill in low - You can see the front nearly scrape and the hitch receiver in the back touch down, even though there’s a 2" lift and 31" tires. It did this even with open front and rear diffs, center locked.
Yet, with a low range, it’s slow, easy and controllable with…
I love this video (because I love the idea of softroaders gettin a workout) but it illustrates exactly why I sold my forester and bought my land cruiser.
I do, and they're wonderful things, especially before the advent of the carbon wheel. It does take some high temps (sub 900F) to get magnesium to auto-ignite, I'd guess that it's higher than what the glue that holds the carbon bits together. Is a magnesium fire harder to put out than carbon fiber? It would be a…
Had a set of magnesium turbine style wheels laying around here until very recently. They were on my uncle’s ‘77 Dodge Tradesman Van.
A current jeep JK has such thin sheet metal any ways. Aluminum cannot be a bad thing.

Have you seen the competition?
We would’ve if people bought more trackers and samuris.
Low range, plus diesel torque. Nice and slow.
I’ve had three Wranglers, the last one a modified ‘06 LJ Rubicon (unlimited). Horses for courses. I just can’t figure out what ‘course’ that Crosstrek serves. At least a Forester XT has a turbo, and even with some mods can still get out of its own way. A friend of mine bought his son an Imprezza because “my bicycle…
That’s obviously a loaded question. There is no vehicle that’s considered “the perfect vehicle by everyone”. As for me, currently I have a stock 535xi wagon (wife’s), a mostly stock, manual ‘06 Xterra, and an ‘03 manual allroad 3.0T conversion that puts out about 800 hp on race gas, with a fully custom drivetrain…
Fuel economy and off road ability? I’ll take my Jimny thanks.
I agree! Here is mine.
You'll see the Subarus crossing the river with the rest of the trucks:
Needs more turbo. and Foresters
Most spacer lifts from reputable companies have camber and caster offset built in to the front ones, then come with a rear subframe spacer to correct the rear.
How about some Forester love next?
Shameless plug for the original off-road Subaru group on Facebook started in 2013 with over 1K members, the North America Off Road Subarus, #naors:
Off Road ALL the Subies! (Or at least the three in this video)
