All hail the Zebaru! Rock rails, lifted, BFG AT’s, everything needed for off-road short of a winch, low-range, and lockers. My Forester is to the right and a friend’s Cherokee Trailhawk is in the background. We are the extreme Soft Roaders crew.

That’s either a unimog, pinzgauer, or Volvo 303. It looks like an awesome tourist carrier.

Now playing

Blue Fox took his stock Forester down the pass equipped with only All-Terrain tires. Manual transmission with no skid plates, they lived.

I still haven't taken the Subaru crew down here yet, I hope they don't close it. It's also part of the Trans America Trail.

Your first time off road should always be with several friends that know the trails.

Subaru of course!

Way better execution than the no-fucks-given RX7.

Explain Baltimore.

I can understand why they canceled, mud becomes very unpredictable. So when you put someone behind the wheel that is inexperienced they may do something unpredictable, as in wreck their vehicle.

Yeah, but that would then involve the client spending money, one of the last things they look forward to doing.

We Subaru guys never let mud get in our way, no matter what tires we have.

I’ve been an M-B technician for over ten years and the two stories that will stick in my head are...

Everyone gets a participation trophy!

There was an older gentleman in our waiting lounge telling a couple of women that in Japan, people aren’t allowed to drive older cars so they have to buy a new car every year. He’s from the era when you had to find a published book to obtain information, pre-Internet.

Hey, the customer is always right isn't he?

Hmm, maybe somewhere along the way M-B went to u-joints. The ones that I see are all with the new powertrains, I'll be on the lookout for an M113 powered 463 and get back to you. I should have inspected the 1984 300GD we had in recently, it was immaculate.

I’ve been waiting for a G-Wag to come into the shop, modern day G-Wagens don’t have CV Joints, they’re all u-joints for the front and rear propshafts. So I’m guessing the older ones like Demuro’s use CV’s. I work at an M-B dealer.
