What makes new episodes disappointing for me is the anticipation and excitement of seeing a new episode, because that feeling is grounded in what the show used to be. TBH, I'm happy to let it slide because classic simpsons was in the nineties, so despite them having had modern technology for years now, it still looks wrong to me when they use mobile phones, ipads/pods/phones, dvds etc because I'd actively disassociate them from the simpsons' characters.
