Oh god, I'm looking at the comments now. The most hilarious one is this one conservative woman who supposedly is a fan of the book (um, why the hell would any conservative like American Gods, or anything else by the Neil Gaiman) complaining that that scene "wasn't in the book" and that Starz just shoehorned it because

Any particular examples? I could really use a laugh right now.

"Where do whores g-Oh."- QuenTyrion 2016

I'm not so sure. The trailer repeatedly mentions "brother" over and over again, in case we forget. Besides, at one point Ben Hur asks about "our mother".

So, does them being brothers mean there's no gay subtext in this version?

FOUND ONE!

I don't know…apparently he's going to have a few weirwood flashbacks, including one at the ToJ. And the way they are apparently going to do it is similar to Harry's pensieve visions in the Harry Potter movies, in which Harry was present on screen but invisible to the characters of those memories. So they are going to

To be honest, I don't have a problem with the way AshaYara has been characterized in the show. I find Gemma Whelan to be very likable and charismatic in the role. My issue is with what the show has done with her character thus far, which is absolutely nothing.

Someone rudely poured him a glass, so he's pouring it back in so he can drink straight from the decanter.

Well, to be fair, Bloodraven's missing eye and raven-shaped birthmark are on the right side of his face, and this picture only shows us the left side of his face. Still, I won't be the least bit surprised if he ends up not having the missing eye or the birthmark. The makeup that would require takes up time and budget,

No, we're not. Thirst season was not as good as seasons 1 and 2, that much is true. But "not as good" =/= "terrible". I know it's in vogue nowadays to call anything that falters even a little bit as "terrible", but I personally still prefer to reserve that label for shows, movies or books that actually do deserve it.

Honestly, Daya and Bennett (both as a couple and as individual characters) really only got my nerves at times in season 2, and even then they did occasionally have their moments. I dunno, I can kind of understand the Daya hate to a certain degree, but I honestly don't think she's that bad when she isn't suffering from

I think we just live in the age of hyperbole now. See, it used to be that we tended to reserve labeling things as "crap" for those films, shows, or seasons of shows, or books that truly deserved it- things like Battlefield Earth, The Last Airbender (the movie), or Twilight. Now, everything is either "brilliant" or

No, but it might prevent others from being buying into that movement. That's the point.

"Even though in the grand scheme of things Flat Earthers and Dinosaur Truthers are no where near as dangerous as Anti-Vaxxers or Climate Change Deniers,"

If by "the Spaniards" you are specifically referring to the Spanish Crown, that's because they didn't fund the expedition- they had just finished the reconquest and had no money to fund anything. Instead, the expedition was funded by a private investor.

A lot of uneducated people were aware that the Earth was round centuries before that. Thousands of years, even. It's the most basic fact any sailor had to know.

I strongly disagree. Spreading ignorance is bad for society to progress (looking at you, anti-vaxxers), and B.o.B. is in the position to do just that.

Except they don't. Like I said, these FETs think the Earth is shaped like a disc.

Actually, the Vikings were also aware of it, and they were illiterate. It was the most basic fact for any unwashed sailor to know.
