Yeah - I think Remedy would get a better deal out of MS but I think they value their independence overall. I think some of the developers which have decided to partner are ones who feel they could realise their visions better with a whole lot of $$ backing them.

Oh come on, Microsoft are nowhere as near as overbearing that a company would name a game Control just to spite them. Remedy weren’t even first party, they just had a good working relationship with Xbox (who helped publish Alan Wake in the first place), so the idea they were under the thumb in any sense doesn’t float…

I don’t believe there’s much distinction between the two platforms in terms of audiences for narrative driven adventure games, not like say how Playstation has a bigger audience for Japanese RPGs.

Both games are on PC by the way - Alan Wake was just free on Epic store, actually.
