Hell, comedy not only rescued theThor franchise, it offset the clunkiness of Ragnarok’s final fight, an all-too-common convoluted swirl of fists and CGI.

Kylo putting back together his helmet, Rey salavaging Luke’s lightsaber... the symbolism is a bit on the nose, and slightly worrying. The Last Jedi wasn’t perfect, but I’d hoped JJ moved forward from it, rather than expend energy trying to walk things back.
