Sadly nuance is lost on a lot of people.
There’s some people right now who have issue with the way Spider-Man went out, like he should have half-cursed his final breaths like Fury or something.
No realistic human emotion or flaws in my power fantasies, thanks!

I thought it was clearly shown that what shook Mantis’ control on Thanos was a feedback loop from Thanos either experiencing pain or a surge of emotion (she was already strained by trying to keep him under control as his will was that strong), but your mileage may vary. From there I assume a situation with her

Oh Jesus Christ

No one could have killed Thanos because Mantis was subduing him. The reason why Thanos broke free is because Quill was punching/pistol whipping Thanos and Mantis felt the pain of that by transference. If they maimed or killed Thanos there, she’d be dead too as long as she was in contact.

I mean, technically humans are animals, so

It’s Optimus Prime getting a hole blown in his chest all over again.

The counter-argument to the idea that a lot of the tension regarding who was ashed has been nullified by sequel announcements, is while we can bet on Spider-Man and Black Panther being back, we have no idea who’s going to survive Avengers 4 restoring them.
There’s going to be a price to be paid “winning” the day.

I get that POV, but on the other hand I don’t think the MCU has ever really been about isolated one-and-done stories. The mandate has been #itsallconnected from day one.

“Leftist PC snowflakes ruin everything, can’t joke about anything anymore without them being offended”

“MICHELLE WOLF SAID WHAT??”

Now that I’ve finally seen the film, I really couldn’t disagree more with the review. I don’t feel it’s hyperbole to say that no other film adapted from a superhero comic book has ever captured the true “event” experience, until now. This is like someone threw the best printed stories straight up on the screen. Yeah,

Saw Infinity War, miraculously staying unspoiled. From pillar to post, no other film has faithfully created the feel of a comic book event like this has, in all the best ways. It just captured all the best parts of the medium perfectly.

I just don’t get why this is news. Why is anybody surprised by this? This wouldn’t be the first time Kanye has buddied up with Trump, or generally lost the plot. It makes sense two thin-skinned egotists would give each other a Twitter handjob, tbh.

In terms of critics you can

C+ for one of my Marvel movies???
A.A. Dowd, more like A.A. Dumb

Except overall the film is getting good reviews so maybe it doesn’t generally make it a bad movie?

Kind of sounded like Lance Reddick with some extra bass added

There’s hate because the trailer actually doesn’t look pretty decent at all.

I mean, I’m not too sad. 3 seasons of a franchise I didn’t think would get a proper continuation complete with the original star again... pretty happy we got this much.

That’s like saying The Dark Knight isn’t about superheroes, to which: yeah nah mate.

If you want to conveniently regress something back to it’s barest point, let’s do it correctly: Scott Pilgrim is a coming-of-age story about an arrested slacker growing up and discovering responsibility for his actions, or a story

Ah yes, “the world is mean so why try and be nice to people at all”, the internet’s juvenile and self-reflection-averse version of “that’s just the way I am” complete with Z-shaped finger snap. But what would anyone expect from, bahaha, “ImmoralMinority”.
