The therapy group scene really was a perfect way to end the series. The question of what life holds when your one singular focus is gone really is a scary one, and for a traditionally guarded and laconic character like Frank Castle to admit it was pretty powerful.

I believe Trypp called him a “killcrop”. Unlike other mutants, Jamie’s power manifested at birth, rather than puberty/adolescence.

They had to make the anti-gun senator a coward who pushes a woman into an armed man’s way, didn’t they? I wouldn’t say Punisher has particularly been pro-gun rights considering all the pain war and violence is shown to bring with them (and they did make the far right nut in the Vet meetings a racist southern

This series seems to have divided critics in general but at this point I think it’s easily one of the better Marvel-Netflix series they’ve done. I can’t think of how they could have adapted the character better, really. It’s great that they’re taking time to delve into things like the mental scars of war, instead of

Sort of random Q, but does anyone know the song which plays around the 34 minute mark montage?

Yeah that’s why they call them adaptations, not straight up carbon copies.

I actually think the freeway chase is a much better set piece than the airport scene. My point still stands though: any blockbuster film would be lucky to have any set pieces as technically proficient, or as exciting (at least IMO).

It didn’t live up to the hype for me, but it was still a fun film and I was fine for them to try something different, especially since they had played it relatively straight for the last two films already and it never really delivering tonally.

I mean, kind of at first? But who (spoilerspoilerspoiler) gets the last laugh and actually destroys Asgard because no one else can stop him?

There is no way on this earth that the high tension action of Winter Soldier (eg, the abduction attempt on Nick Fury) or the setting and execution of Civil War’s action (eg, the Winter Solider/Black Panther/Cap car/footrace; the airport scene as a whole) is “middling”.

Embarrassed? It made him totally badass. You mean to tell me Thor stomping enemies along the rainbow bridge in legit God mode wasn’t a cool moment? Don’t confuse a deconstruction of a character with a film being ashamed of it.

Better for Marvel films to do their heroes justice (who should be the focus), rather than have them outshone by their villains.

Fuck Sean Hammity, he looks like a garbage pail kid grew up and got a job on wall street

It’s the Snyder effect

He’s not though.

I would never call Punisher a “good guy”. Traditionally in comics, he’s always been an anti-hero at best.

Fuck Sean Hammity, he looks like a worn out leather wallet that has a case of bad gas

Hopefully Imagine Dragons will make the cut

NO ONE SHALL BE SPARED

Sean Hammity looks like someone gave a piece of aged cheese a talk show
