While I think this analysis is correct, it's a little misleading. 360 versions of these games will still outsell their PS3 counterparts. It's just that the gap will have closed a little bit. #consolewars
@rich8606: Dude, this isn't 2007. Multiplatform games usually look almost identical these days and only do some look better on one console than the other (sometimes better on PS3). #consolewars
@Goldwings: I have both consoles and this is the exact reason why I won't be buying it for 360. #consolewars
@brass2themax: I was thinking that too when this happened to my 60gb, but it only has a 90-day warranty after that and who know when this will happen again. I just cut my losses and bought a new slim with a 3 year Squaretrade warranty. #ps3
@SG79: You're right that it's certain versions of the BR drive, but at the same time? It happened at the same time because the firmware caused the BR drive to overwork and this certain version of BR drive can't handle the output. So the firmware update tells the processor to make the drive work harder making it…
@BubbleF**kingBuddy: Everyone has tried this. Service mode doesn't work. The firmware update indirectly burns out the BR drive. #ps3
@Labreya: They may have tried their best, but it still doesn't equal good QA on their part. Wait til something like this happens to you and then say "I just got unlucky."
@SG79: It's not an enormous amount of people, but it's a good chunk of people. The thing about 3.01 is that they changed the coding so that the cell makes the BR drive work harder (which fixes the Uncharted issue) but certain earlier PS3s didn't have a BR drive that could handle the output and caused it to fail. So…
@illiniphase4: So turning on your console and it telling you that you MUST update your firmware before you can play is not mandatory? It won't let you play games until you update it, even offline. The only way you can play is if I fully disconnect the internet connection. Regardless, it's mandatory if you want…
How can I get in on this? My PS3 bricked after 3.01 too.
@maraxusofk: You're crazy. #callofdutymodernwarfare2
@IvanDashSmith: You can say the same thing about Activision and that we should not assume they screwed over No Doubt and are an uber-greedy corporation. #bandhero
@Archaotic: So No Doubt says. If it comes later on to show that is the case then yes, they're in the right. However, every other artist in Band Hero and Guitar Hero have had their likeness shown in other songs and I'd be surprised if their contract was that different.
@ThreeOneFive: I agree with all the pros except for difficulty. I saw that as a con. Some puzzles later in the game are damn near impossible and seem as hard as solving a rubix cube almost. However, I do get frustrated easily if I can't figure out a puzzle within a couple minutes or like 4 tries. I'm ashamed to…
It's not the gameplay and look that make it so good imo, but the music and the intricately woven story which like a riddle you can only figure out if you really try to look into it. #braid
@Archaotic: Just because you hate Activision doesn't mean No Doubt is in the right. It's a frivolous lawsuit and there's precedence for what Activision did. They've done the same thing with tons of other artists (better ones at that). No Doubt is crying about something so insignificant it's makes me wonder if…
@Mister Jack commands 1000 prinnies!: Gwen Stefani is much worse than Activision imo. I can't stand her. #bandhero
