There was some discussion about him around here a few days ago, and that was the consensus.  He didn’t have a big-budget production in him and so was banking as much cash as possible, as quickly as possible before he couldn’t work anymore.  

Sad, but not exactly a surprise.

This is the longest season I’ve ever seen, and it feels it.  The mechanics of the show are creaking under the strain.

Remember when it was cooler that pop stars weren’t so available and accessible to who-the-fuck-ever? Jimmy Page barely gave interviews and certainly didn’t take pictures with every jerk-off pounding on his door. And he was excellent.

You only get offered to do a bunch of crappy films that pay a lot of money by first being in films that boost your prestige, like Mr. Cage there. Or Bruce Willis or Cuba Gooding Jr. Otherwise you’re just a waiter that makes industry minimum in a whole mess of awful films, or Steven Seagal.

Old Miranda would have had a LOT to say about New Miranda.

Sure, why work to improve reality when you can just live in a romcom instead?

If she knew anything about how Oscar invites are distributed, she’d know that there was no “extremely questionable move” by the Academy. But that would have taken a 30-second Google search to research.

“Person is good” seems like a weird angle for a story.

I’m not a huge fan of Righteous Gemstones (VP and EaD are far superior but that’s another subject) but she kills it in everything she does. She reminds me of a female Jason Mantzoukas in a way, but with JM, he’s better in small does. I think Edi could do a show on her own for sure.

Love Edi. She was great as the psycho in VP and Judy is my favorite Gemstone.
