And like the very tippy top of spoofs, not only does it treat the source material with due respect, but it also takes its own story seriously.

I remember the guys behind the Scary Movie franchise saying “You can’t do a good parody if you don’t love the source material.”

yeh what a bunch of losers! it’s not like they are the first and only all-woman band to write and play on a US number one album.

quickly! put ms. parton, neko case, kim deal, feist, and sylvia massy in a studio together.

I respect her decision a lot, although I would argue that country music and rock ‘n roll have been strongly linked for a long time - it’s been a long time since Gram Parsons died. As far as I’m concerned, Dolly is part of rock ‘n roll.

I believe she is referring to the other women on the ballot.

She just doesn't want to run the risk of being selected and having to go to Cleveland.

Yeah, I’m not sure the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has earned Dolly Parton.

What happened to Heidi Gardner’s WU bits? She was so good in them but it’s like she did something bad and they won’t let her do them anymore. She’s not even appearing in many skits either, although you can say that about everyone in the cast

I blame the writing for that particular flaw in Mikey Day, but I do agree he’s just filler.

The years for women in between Jan Hooks departure and Molly Shannon, Cheri Oteri, and Ana Gasteyer all being in place were pretty rough, and coincided with the frat guy years of Adam Sandler, Chris Farley, and David Spade. I’m guessing that’s what elder millennials and young Gen Xers remember best.

Perhaps being born in Sac’to does not make you a cowboy. I was born in a small fishing village in another country and became a rocket scientist in the US, so I don’t get the point of bringing up his birthplace.

Mickey Day is the one who sucks. He plays the exact same character in every sketch, the guy who has to break the fourth wall and remark how crazy this thing that is happening to him is.

I find Kyle much more tolerable than Mickey Day, who literally has the same damn high rise inflection in every sketch. Plus, I just hate his face.

Yeah. This made me throw up a little.

I normally don’t like Mooney but I thought his WU sketch was decent... until it just sort of petered out like he couldn’t figure out how to end the joke.

Smoking is cool as fuck, smokers are infinitely cooler than people who shame them

Thank god someone finally said it about Kyle Mooney. He sucks hard. Every character he plays is a variation on “Look how awkward and unfunny I am. Isn’t that funny?”  If I have so watch him to do Bruce Chandling one more time, I’m gonna chuck my tv out the window.

It was that little teeth-sucking thing she did after “he’s an actor” followed by that head tilt. It’s very New Zealand.

That might have been the best Update of the season. But then Kyle Mooney shows up to remind us how hard he sucks. He is the Colin Robinson Energy Vampire of the show.
