You are correct with 2 exceptions, Ewan and Ian McDiarmid seemed like they were the only ones who understood what movies they were in. But there wasn’t enough Ewan. I can’t wait to see Ewan’s Obi Wan as the focus of the story and not just the foil to the fallen hero.

Out of all the Star Wars universe stories we’ve gotten, this is the only one I’ve actually wanted. As long as Ewan is good, I won’t even care if everything else sucks. Just more Ewan as Obi Wan, and as the actual focus of the story, not the foil for the fallen hero. Sometimes I think Ewan and Ian were the only ones

Well, they addressed the Baldwin issue. It was a publicist’s dream apology.

To be fair, the book that Power of the Dog is based on came first.

Honestly? I love Ewan McGregor more than can possibly be healthy, but for me, his performance was basically just retreading Halston, and it was really distracting to me. The camp idea was right on, but it was like he just went on autopilot.

I understand it’s a big deal. I hope you all find jobs/situations better than what you currently have. I’m likely going to be unceremoniously dismissed before the end of the year as well, and while I’m nervous, I’m also a bit relieved, to be honest. I feel like the frog in the pot of water that is starting to

I replied to Jesse that I hope that he and some of the other writers meet up with the Defector (nee’ deadspin)writers, if not to join, at least take a look at the business model.

I’m hoping that maybe some of you might get in touch with the Defector (old deadspin), if not to join, then at least take a gander at the business model. I shelled out for them, but I was a lot more active here than I ever was on deadspin. I’d bet I’m not the only one.

The raunchiest is a blink and you’ll miss it cause it’s buried in cheese moment in the tacked on sequence at the end. I don’t think European audiences were treated to this. It’s set at Pemberly after the marriage with the two decidedly letting their hair down, discussing pet names for eachother and she only wants to

You forgot about Sideways.

I may be on an island here, but I’m not looking forward to the new Batman after seeing the trailer.  It looks dour as hell.  The aesthetic may be a plus for a lot of people, but it’s just doing nothing for me.

Rue having to repeat “lesbian” a few times before it finally sinks in is pretty great, too.

Am I the only one who got motion sickness from the animation of “Spiderverse”?  For me, it was like watching a 3D movie without the glasses.  I understand the story was great, but the “visual style” was not a good thing for me.

So, is this a good or a bad thing for people prone to parasocial attatchment? I can just see the shippers claiming they made it happen, like they self-actualized the chemistry between those two beautiful young people.

The reason I thought maybe not was because I couldn’t quite figure out how old Peter would have been when that happened, but I guess if he was old enough to extricate dad, he was probably old enough to have engineered the scenario. Understanding that this is fiction, but this was set post Flexner, do you think a

Power of the dog could also be alcohol, no?

Is “Being There” a comedy, or has it come full circle to a tragedy?

The chemistry between Damon and Driver is warm and unpretentious, though it feels more like best friends than movie soul mates, but I think that was ultimately kind of the point. I guess the premise of the whole movie is a bit cheesy, but I liked it.

I couldn’t watch hockey for a decade without screaming, “Kick his ass, Seabass!”

I’m a bit disappointed that you didn’t ask about “But I’m happy…” the Micheal Keaton entry in the david letterman film festival.  Clint going on and on about the rats with fish heads stuck on their heads was the perfect balance of charming and creepy.
