That’s because the actors had no chemistry together. The bickering that was supposed to read like Han/Leia’s sexual tension fell flat. And Finn getting “jealous” and getting in Poe’s face about it was incredibly stupid.

How mad were you at the forced love triangle between Poe/Rey/Finn?  That was so uncomfortable.

I think it was mostly satisfying, depending on how you feel about Leia. This was obviously supposed to have more of her in it, and because they couldn’t there was some filler at the beginning that seemed tacked on. Once the focus shifted to Rey/Ben, it was much better.

The Sith are the xenomorphs. The first order/storm troopers are just the face huggers.

Well, yeah, that shit’s expensive! We’re lucky we get as much of it as we do. Once again, space wizards, magic light swords, exploding space ships, cool aliens, relax and enjoy it. This is a Fantasy movie set in space, not a war documentary.

Rey isn’t supposed to be Luke, Finn isn’t supposed to be Han, and Kylo’s perceived inability to “be Vader” is kind of the point and drives a lot of his bad decision making.  Just got back from seeing it and Adam and Daisy make it worth seeing.  There’s a lot of extra noise that annoying but anytime those two are the

That’s... that’s not at all how the dreadnaught is destroyed. Did you even watch the movie?

Ain’t no shade like OG Sith Master shade.

Is that sarcasm? Most of us love Star Wars despite the iffy writing, not because if it.

The North doesn’t need google, the OP does, sorry that wasn’t clear.

Google Aske’s rebellion, the North remembers.

Really, all I took from that clip is that men don’t know dick about dick.

I want you to go to Wikipedia and just erase everything and replace it with: dear god it’s hard work for very little reward. That’s all anyone ever needs to know about Mallick.

Agreed, the White Queen was better than Tudors, though lacking Henry Caville.  The War of the Roses is fascinating.

Do they?  I though Capaldi had the only repeat.

Olivia has already been in Dr Who, she was one of the faces of Prisoner Zero in Eleventh Hour, Smith’s debut episode.

I loved that line from Abe. He so often talks without saying anything germaine to anyone but himself, but that was so on point about Midge needing to use her voice carefully. It’s a lesson we all need to remember from time to time.

Boy, that was hard. Re: Midge’s Apollo set. Ok, I don’t think she was trying to out him. I think she was just a bull in a china closet, thinking she was dancing up to the line, not realizing she was trampling all over it. I’m not defending her, she deserved to get fired. You don’t do jokes like that about someone

It’s the physicality that Luke is bringing that’s really selling it. The accent is icing. Lenny Bruce was not a normal cat. I really like that he’s leaning so hard into his idiosyncrasies.
