There used to be a tv show called Blood Ties, so I thought it was a mocked-up musical version of that, but it apparently a real musical that has nothing to do with that.

Tech, I think we are just mis-communicating based on the use of the term "production" - you meant one thing, I meant something else. No offense or confrontation meant, at all.

Oh okay, just a possible miscommunication of terms then, as much of the stuff that's filmed up here are not considered Canadian productions - just visiting companies/productions taking advantage to tax breaks and a good rate of exchange. (They get the tax incentives then they've got to use the Canada/provincial stamp

I haven't seen anything that calls Reign a Canadian (co)production. But apparently portions of it were filmed in Canada too (according to Wikipedia anyway).

Tudors and Borgias were indeed Canadian co-productions, but filmed in Ireland and Hungary respectively. Vikings is also filmed in Ireland, if memory serves.

Yeah I was thinking it might be a failsafe of some sort (kill what you can't control), but one that isn't working quite they way it was intended, possibly activating on its own.

But she didn't spray herself despite all the pepper spray in the air, so that was pretty impressive.

The germaphobe in me was more concerned the Delphine was kissing a cough-infected Cosima (or at least thought she was). I guess whatever disease the clones have, it's unique to them and ain't catching.

Great episode. I suppose it is a bit easier to keep a character a secret if the actor is still on the show playing umpteen other parts. They just have to hide the wig.

Cats, it ain't.

KORL, GET IN THE HOUSE!

I was feeling as you do until recently, and feel there is actually quite a bit of reason to think that S9 will break the retread cycle when it finally resolves.

Maybe the SPN writers' collective first language is Parseltongue.

I honestly think it's in the show's "bible" or showrunner's blueprint that every season has to revisit these same themes until the end of the show.

I was mostly joking there. It's really just a thinly veiled effort to get Tahmoh on the screen reliably and regularly. I agree that would be a twisted friendship. But I do see parallels between them and they seem to have a lot in common, which may or may not have been intentional.

I'm somewhere in the middle on this point I guess. I think that S9 is probably the best season since S5, and don't think it is anywhere near the mess S6 was.

You're not alone. I really found this episode to be a letdown - couldn't get into it much and it didn't capture or hold my attention.

I got this vibe as well. He obviously feels guilty and wants to die and/or atone and I agree he is not fully buying what Metatron is selling. And possibly - it might just be in his nature to betray, eventually.

I really liked the episode as a whole, but not the build-up so much & didn't really appreciate it until the reveal at the end. For most of the episode I felt like they were wrapping things up on Cody's dad in a very deliberate but unimaginative way. The whole time I was thinking how they were tying this all up a

I have mixed feelings about the Javier things as well, and am not sure where they are going with it. He could be the Grayson's version of Nolan. Or, once the Graysons inevitably fuck Javier over, it might be useful to Team Revenge to have a techie inside the Grayson camp.
