Alison Williams was pretty great too, I have to say. From her "Good Talk!" to Shosh, to her topping it all off with her watching the Desi/Clementine fight while hiding behind a wall like a narcisstic evil troll.

Agreed. Plus while I get it is disappointing, can't she just summer session those credits? Realistically, she could be done in 6 weeks.

Yes, that was definitely her segue: "SO proud of you…but enough about you. Grad school!"

I would say mildly. She followed/watched him playing basketball. She was blathering on about his mention in a trade magazine or something due to his coffee-shop prowess. One or two other things.

I bought it, and was expecting it. She'd been following/stalking him for a little bit. I thought she'd end up there by the end of the season, for sure.

At least one for sure. More likely at least one, each.

AV Club is in the midst of a years-long 6FU rewatch. I think they do one season per summer. Season 4 should be up this year: http://www.avclub.com/tv/si…

yay?

Well, it's probably not a huge stretch that someone who writes/approves a "Dur hur hur, busty asian babes!" joke also thinks that the gong sound adds a certain high-fucking-larious
"je ne sais quoi" to the overall humour.

It was annoying in & of itself, but it also reminded me of the conversation that was had here a couple weeks ago about the tacky musical cues the show has tended to use of late to underscore lame jokes or what have you.

That "gong" sound fucking pissed me off too.

Thanks. I thought they said that Magnus was a generic alias associated with the Lettermen.

Wasn't Magnus the alias? I thought they said his real name was something else - or do I have that backwards? Cuthbert Something?

so you would say she really liked officer shelby?

Yeah, Caleb seems obviously there to incite drama early-to-mid season and as a body for the Bates clan to hide later on, after his murder/accidental death.

I had completely forgotten that version existed.

aka Mr. Magoo.

They had an inappropriate and sexualized moment last year too, at the tail end of a physical fight, before they untangled themselves from each other. You are not wrong.

I don't mind the drug stuff as an aspect of the town's personality that explains why everyone/everything is so insular, claustrophobic and unhealthy. It possibly explains why Norman gets away with keeping Norma's mummified body as long as he does (not like that couldn't happen almost anywhere, of course). Everyone

The episode was definitely low key but I didn't mind it. I enjoyed watching both Norma and Norman try their respective bests to awkwardly navigate separate White Pines social functions.
