Your Cat People story reminds me of the young teens who attended the same Black Swan screening I did. I noticed them on the way out and they looked shellshocked. I thought they probably snuck in for the same-sex love scenes but where wholly unprepared for the signature Aronofsky mindfuckery.

I agree. It skewers the series and the overall slasher genre pretty well, and was also funny (pretty sure intentionally)

Re: I’m sure it’s considered to be pretty benign compared to more modern horror films.

If you’re looking for Japanese horror try Kwaidan (1964). Unsettling ghost stories. Unsure if it is streaming anywhere but possibly on Criterion.

greys test, ignore

I took it that Old Five’s assignment in Dallas was to make sure Kennedy died, as backup, not to be the primary assassin. As in, he is the mythical second shooter from conspiracy theories. So since Oswald went through it, Five didn’t actually have to shoot, so abandoning his post had no effect on Kennedy’s fate.

I was wondering why he drove to collect Vanya. I’m sure there is a fanwank for this but I found this annoying. 90 minutes!

I’ll be vague because I don’t know how far along in the episodes you are, and you may know this by now anyway, but a few of them meet up by coincidence/fate in ways that don’t involve Five at all, which was enough for me to buy that they could show up to the Ep. 1 battle in smaller groups or individually.

Yaby or Yoddler

Hilda slips it into his latte (or whatever he ordered) at the diner/book store/coffee shop.

Yes, that was clear to me.  I was just saying I didn’t personally have any ambiguity about who Abigail was (not imaginary and not a ghost of the earlier Dudley daughter).

Soooo, can someone on staff please post a list of the shows that are receiving regular coverage this season? And/or please point me to it if it already exists.

Yes. I think because she died as a baby that it never occurred to me that she might be Luke’s supposed imaginary friend.

The modern nightclothes gave it away too, for me. I know Luke mentioned wanting to lend Abigail modern clothes, but if she was a ghost I doubt she’d be able to wear them.

Well, that was devastating.

I have no idea what to think about Wilson’s mandated silence, but good for her for being as upfront as she can be, and just being blunt that she can’t talk about it. She can’t talk but she’s not playing their reindeer games either.

Ugh, part of my post was eaten, it seems.  Anyway my friend kept calling the Kid “the Client

I’m still enjoying the slow burn of the show and at 6 eps in I can’t get too worked up about the lack of answers.

But he seems to have control as not everyone if affected. Maybe certain people are immune. Or maybe he can control it but it hurts to do so, so every once in a while he lets go

I read this differently: the memory of the house/music lured him to the house today, where he snuck in and happened upon the family. I wonder if we will get a clear answer on it.
