The OP said that Israel has completely bombed out the West Bank, which is beyond untrue. I was responding to that. I'm not really sure where you're coming in here? Though the English speaking world is generally indifferent at best, outside of the US it's generally pretty hard on Israel. I'm not being all "woe is us"

Nope - not out actual symbol. It's the colors bonze, pink, & blue. An anchor is the symbol, because it symbolizes hope. The cream colored rose is the flower.

Which part of the UN? Anti-Semetic Europe? Or the League of Arab nations? Outside of the US Israel has few allies. In terms of media, outside of FOX News in America, most are not at all biased towards Israel and could infact be considered the opposite.

I didn't say anything about the UN. The media tends to skew articles to the point of sensationalism, and miss the truth and complexity of the issues in Israel & the West Bank.

I have not only contact nationals, but alerted our local alumni organization to do the same. Thanks for thinking of it!

It's a great point. I just may.

AH! I love this I didn't even know this existed!

how about shit she wouldn't know? like what DG means? because I am 100% certain that the greek-lettered meaning of our organization WOULD NOT call for this sort of thing. How about the oath of friendship? HOW ABOUT ANY RITUAL? She seems like a tool and she would not be welcome with my DG either.

NO NO NO NO - graduated in 2009, I doubt it's changed much.

WHICH IS A FANTASTIC WAY TO GET BLACKBALLED BY NATIONALS! I know there's been a LOT of anti-sorority stuff here on Jez because Jezebel <3 starting stuff... but I would be willing to stop paying my Alumni dues to DG if after the ass this woman made of herself they allow her to "colonize" at Smith. Shame on her for

amazing what a little knowledge and understanding of the realities of the conflict and the complexities of it all will do for you! Israeli's aren't the demons the media tries to make them... and Hamas/Fatah ruled areas vary in extreme of Muslim law rule. Israeli Arabs (Palestinians past the armistice line with Israeli

I think some of us or at least myself... with the anecdotal evidence is that Jez seems to say we sorority women are ALL as bad as INSERT INFLAMMATORY HEADLINE! So when others blow up about racial issues/hazing/privelege etc as a white woman from a low socio-economics family with 2 permanently disabled parents since

thank you!!!!!! i was just going to sat the same thing. and since my little is black fwiw, and we're also DG, this just makes me want to scream because she was easily one of the best sisters ever, and that's probably my big/little bias coming out.

Ok, I can get on board that women being responsible for men's sexual thoughts etc is indeed bull. However, here's where I get confused in it all. During high school I used to dress "modestly" compared to my friends. They would complain how they had all this unwanted attention from guys in school, which I didn't get

I want to support you to get this seen. So I'm typing to type to fill the minimum characters.

I in no way was trying to say we in the US have a great history of race relations, however I do think that it's very different. Jewish ghettos (or "Polish ghettos" as was her other example) in the US are self-imposed. Actual Jewish ghettos were a step to death camps.

I think you're point is getting a little lost... um... Jewish Ghettos where NOTHING like the common place use of "ghetto" in America. Unless of course we have militarily enforced inability to leave these American "ghettos", are food deserts the same as forced starvation? Simplifying the term "Jewish ghetto" as like

Yup! RH is 2 days, and most schools are in session for a week+ when it falls into the secular calendar, YK (Yom Kippur) is 25 hours, so 1 day of school. Most districts with lots of Jewish students and/or teachers add it in to their regularly scheduled days off because too many people would be out. This year is weird &

Yup, and those workers as ass holes and make it so people come in expecting the worst from most people who work retail. My point was that both sides: the shoppers and shop workers have to all start to act like decent people.
