well, ok, keep the videos, but I hope FB is also obligated by law to report the original poster to the authorities
The problem is that the vast majority of these gore video aren't being used to spread social consciousnesses - they're half-decade old videos being used as shock material to gain likes/shares/page followers (often with completely false/fabricated stories posted alongside them.)
We don't need a video to spread the message. Posting a link to a credible article will do the trick. Put in a static photo like the one at the top of the article if you really want to make an impact. But there's no need for the whole thing to play out in HD on everyone's computer screen.
I was perfectly happy knowing this didn't exist until now.
Maybe they can hack into Gizmodo and lock out any further webpage layout changes every 3 months or so.... ‡)
Why is the U.S. and Obama the center of attention here? The attention should be on Russia, China, and the international community coming to an agreement and taking joint action with the U.S. whose president is already willing to get involved instead of threatening countries who do want to take action.
Humanitarian aid. I wish I lived in a country where this was the FIRST option. It's not our fight but we can't just let innocent people suffer. Send money, send food or shelter, just help these people.
And honestly, who really wants to stand up to a TSA agent when they are on a power trip. When you have a flight to catch and places to be the last place you want to end up is in an airport holding cell because you didn't bow to every whim of the TSA agent.
"I don’t think anybody says we’re no longer free because we have checkpoints at airports."
ahem, Mr President. I do.
