Word on the street is that Johan attempted a serious overhaul of the dealer experience and the stores felt threatned, so that was one of the reasons they booted him. 

If I ran the show at Cadillac, I would be focusing on the dealer experience. Way too many Cadillac stores are dualed up with other GM brands which is highly off putting to luxury vehicle buyers.

Genesis also suffers from the same problem of good cars, terrible dealers. Which is another blog for another time. :)

If I wanted (and could afford) an upscale luxury vehicle, and preferred not to buy from a German brand? Genesis would be my first stop, not Cadillac. They have some beautiful sedans, their website is half a decade ahead in design--not unlike their cars.
