Why?  That car will get fixed and be in another historic race again. This is what they do, the aren’t original untouched museum pieces, but active race cars with history. 

Counterpoint: it’s fine, actually. Cars crash when you race them.

The cars can be fixed, and the drivers are uninjured.  The nostalgia you can taste was worth it.  Nice to see them running and not gathering dust.

Don’t most treadmills have a thing in the back specifically to prevent that kind of incident? So you can get thrown backwards if you’re on it, or get your hair or clothing sucked into the tread, but can’t actually get sucked under the treadmill?
