Personally God emperor of dune is my favourite . Letos golden path and how he'll have to destroy arrakis and the fremen in order to save them in the long run was a concept I'd never encountered before when I first read it ( I read them early teens .

I read an interview not too long ago with Brian Herbert , he'd just finished the last dune book and was asked about remakes and new films and he was saying that the rights are all a bit of a mess at the moment so it's unlikely any time soon . If I remember it right .
