I don't think you know what you're talking about. There is A LOT of discussion on the POC representation in Game of Thrones (books and tv show) and it was a big deal back in the Friends days too. Same for HIMYM and Sex and the City.

Because Aladdin's story was - even in One Thousand And One Nights - Chinese. Not Arab with Persian dress and Mughal architecture set in a place that doesn't exist. This is something Disney chose to do.
No, One Thousand And One Nights was written compiling different tales from across the Islamic empire - the earliest being Indian and Persian, the story of Harun being Arab, and so on. Aladdin was always a Chinese story, just codified in Arabic.
They pulled some weird shit with Aladdin - their are a lot of Indian and Persian influences (I believe the castle was inspired by the Taj Mahal) but 'Agrabah' was decidedly Arab.
Really? I thought:
I'm 27 and have not been in a long-term relationship.
She endorsed Obama in 2012, so... maybe not a complete asshole?
Yeah, but would you ever forcibly undress one??
Right?? It's fun and entertaining. But I have a lot of trouble believing it's the best anything of the year.
His American accent in Warm Bodies was rather good.
The best possible way to address it. I think hell has frozen over because I genuinely do not like Lena Dunham or her work and I'm so in her corner on this one.
Well that's just it - there is no dramatic difference.
If you could explain it to me that would be great, because I'm not seeing it. I'd feel this way even if it were for free (although the price tag leaves its own gross aftertaste).
I love her! And now I'm tearing up, but they are happy happy tears. She is luminous.
It's really abhorrent, I thought the same thing when they had multiples posts about Kim K photoshopping her instagram pictures. All they're doing is making women feel shitty and upholding the crazy standards that are expected of people in the public eye.
Was any of this really necessary? What did we learn here?
Sky is blue, water is wet, etc.
They are an Evil.
No and no. Wait til it's out on DVD and have a fun night in with popcorn. That's all it's deserving of. That it's brought in this many nominations should be one of the many signs of how much this shit is a farce.
