I am not a single parent, but for the weeks-long periods I fake being one when my wife is away for work, it’s always hard, even though my kids are, objectively speaking, fantastic kids.

Single parents don’t get anywhere near the respect and admiration they deserve. My hat is off to all of you.

A Giffen-written and drawn book is always cause for celebration.

Didn’t he have the Inferior 5 show up in Ambush Bug? In fact, didn’t Ambush Bug marry Dumb Bunny?

I’m sorry, but you needed to phrase that in the form of a question.

As a grown-ass man who has to pick up his kid from daycare, where everyone else is driving the most dull vehicles known to humanity, I’m not especially keen to roll up sporting the latest in boy racer style.

Do you buy them stuff outside of their birthdays and major gift-giving holiday of your choice? We stopped doing so once we handed out allowance, which ended up being a great decision, in my opinion. The kids learned a lot and the house is a lot less full of stuff that people don’t really want all that much.

Middle schooler gets $20/month. Elementary schooler gets $10/month. Neither is doing chores to earn that money -- they do chores as asked regardless. The purpose of them getting the money is to learn how to handle money. (The middle schooler stresses out about how bad his sibling is with money, until we remind them

My kid wants to listen to nothing but videogame music. And there’s some really good videogame music! But holy crap, please listen to something with words in it! Maybe even an electric guitar!

My guess is it’s the start (perhaps optimistically) of making the MedEvil world a thing, complete with a Netflix series (the Skylanders series ran way longer than I would have ever expected), toy lines, etc.

It’s got the charm. But they might have wanted to launch a reboot before a remastered game.

What houses and neighborhoods aren’t suitable for children? Are they built over a native burial ground or something?

Not all of those are insulated, so be careful. It’s a great way to hurt your hand (I have a scar on mine that I’ve had since I was 11 from reaching under an active toaster oven) or to break your non-oven-safe plate.

I am not about to suggest you make cacio e pepe with shaker parm

Did this series start out as a miniseries, or did they just decide it was once the giant gap appeared between the final two issues? I don’t recall it being solicited as anything other than as an ongoing. It’s a great book, but I really wish it was a regular monthly. The wait for the next run in the spring is going to

My now middle schooler has asked questions about all this stuff for years. The good news is that he only wants limited answers at each age range, with the questions and answers getting more detailed as the years go on. But it’s been surprisingly easy to give him what he’s looking for, rather than starting off by

Two told Kotaku they’re not playing the official version in protest of Activision, which in the words of the Kronos Game Master, is “more interested in quarterly profits than actually putting out good games and content for their player base.”

Show me on the doll where Steve Jobs hurt you.

Given how many much more marginal properties have been rebooted or brought back for those sweet, sweet nostalgia dollars, I doubt that the Muppets -- whose sunk costs were paid long ago -- aren’t worth the effort.

Your original post is only technically English. I re-read it three times and I’m still not sure WTF you were saying.

Right now, there are puppeteers in Omaha fist-pumping after reading your post.
