oh i know that shows take time to find their footing. I am a Seinfeld nut and I cannot watch the first season, the Simpsons was a completely different show its first 2 seasons than it became,

i think this show is either growing on me or just has improved. i’ve been watching because the performances are great around the board (i thought Ford was gonna phone this one in but he’s nailing it). but they avoided most of the little expected tropes and seem to have a better grasp of how to use the cast

The arrowverse was coming to an end of its own volition and lack of interest over time. You can still go back and watch those shows they still exist. They’re just not part of a specific reboot continuity. They want a fresh start and some of the stuff they’re moving on from worked and some didn’t.

I feel like they’ve been painting Barry into corners constantly since the beginning. It’s part of why i think the show had legs past the conceit (along with the obvious creative talent on display) - if he got comfortable doing any of what he’s been doing, acting or hitmanning, it’s probably a less interesting/ funny…

When i rewatch shows i like to look up the reviews after every few episodes. And what i found is besides a few, like Sepinwall (who ironically calls his reviews “recaps”) and some AVClub writers, they really are more recaps out there than reviews, and it seems this site is falling to the recap side more than it used…

Given the time it takes to develop these movies, etc., I’d be shocked if there were any synergy between the two. Both are well established things in their universes - it would’ve been more surprising if…
