Oh, God, me too. I hated that book so, so much. Why did JK Rowling allow this?? It reads like terrible Harry Potter fanfic, except Draco and Harry aren’t doing it.

Are you kidding? Whenever I need a lesson in morals my first stop is an old Catholic dude with multiple divorces. They’re such good people.
Possible unpopular opinion (that contains spoilers from the written version, haven’t seen the actual play):
Same! I’d like to see the play, but I can’t seem on psych myself up to read a Harry Potter novel not actually written by JKR. If I wanted to read fan fiction, I probably wouldn’t choose one written about Harry’s kids.
Yeah, but he was black; we were supposed to be worrying about him being black, which apparently is way worse than being blatantly evil in public.
100% BBC cuckold porn and no one is surprised.
Remember when Barack was President and we didn’t have to worry about who anyone was fucking and what porn they were watching?
Giuliani probably thinks you need to wear a condom to ensure you don’t contract VPN.
I have seen a couple of sites trying to make a fuss out of this and say that homophobia was some sort of skeleton in Fred Rogers’ closet. But that is really judging people of half a century ago by the morality of today. It is amazing that Clemmons wasn’t fired. Gay people (especially men) around children was regarded…
I think we have a problem today where we too often take the lens of our current sensibilities and cultural landscape and then look back on the past, judging it from our perspective alone.
On the show, he would say, “I love you just the way you are.” One day I said, “Fred, were you talking to me?” And he looked at me and he said, “Yes, I’ve been talking to you for two years and you finally heard me today.” And I just collapsed into his arms. I started crying. That’s when I knew I loved him.
That whole obit is a Minnesota euphemism for “she was a feckless cunt”.
That was pretty overtly hostile for Minnesotans. Typically it would read something like: “Ethel heard that she got pregnant from her brother-in-law and moved to California but don’t you know her kids Gina and Jay didn’t go with her! It’s not our place to judge but something’s not right about that.”
That’s not him forgetting the words. That’s him not having enough breath support to sing more than every other word.
“One of the main reasons I play is to hopefully get into lobbies with good people/streamers. Now I have 0 chance of knowing it’s them. Such a stupid, stupid addition.”
Yeah I thought they were there to rescue the mushrooms.
If that couple were black, they would be dead.
So what’s the morel to this story?
