The teacher in me has to comment here. When babies reach for toys beyond easy reach, they strengthen shoulder, trunk, and arm muscles. You need to be very careful of those cutouts in the basket, though. In my experience they must contract out the hole cutting to Gillette because the edges are razor sharp.
