That's just you then. Those are actual suits and the actors in them. The production has been very open and highly praised so far over the level of realism and detail they've put into it.

Except the suits weren't CG. And the part you said should be CG, which was the destruction, is.

While I can understand that Bullock is not for everyone, why would anyone hate on an actor and director as talented as Clooney is beyond me.

What exactly looked fake in that? Because they went through a ton of trouble to make everything they could practical - including having the actors in the suits, on rigs and on sets that could be manipulated to achieve the kind of realism seen here.
