BUT HOW DID HE CATCH THE MIC????
BUT HOW DID HE CATCH THE MIC????
I could never have an ounce of respect for anyone who said with a straight face that ghosts existed. Period. Could not agree more. I mean, why stop there? Maybe there’s a tooth fairy too.
Nothing is haunted. There is no such thing as ghosts. Never. Never have been. Never will be. Oooh, a lot of people have said they have felt things! Sensed things! Liars. Deluded, weak, ineffectual attention seekers. Ghosts do not exist. Stop. Stop please.
“Sir, where might I find your selection of fuck books?”
because fat doesn’t equal healthy or sexy.
I would bet $100 in cash that the lady on the cover does, indeed, have a 35-inch or less waist. And actually, Dr. Oz happens to be right in this case. Being under 35 inches is important. Here’s what I don’t get, though. Why would Cheryl Tiegs imagine that she knows what size Ashley Graham’s waist is? Also, she sold…
whose actions were video taped?
You'd be surprised.
You underestimate the power of the home environment, my friend! Plenty of young girls who are raised the way you wish to raise yours end up fine. The key is to teach them to QUESTION all that crap they get from society. There’s no way you can make it go away, but you can definitely teach her not to buy into it.
OMG yes. Also school uniforms are standard in my country and girls have to wear knee-length skirts. So we’re putting them in skirts and then teaching them that they shouldn’t show their undies so they’re too embarrassed to roll around and jump or be exuberant. It’s so messed up.
This is exactly like MY almost two year old daughter! So happy to have a wild girl. My almost 4 year old daughter is more reserved, and a little shy, but she likes to roughhouse. I hope they can teach eachother and help eachother.
I know this is a side thing, but it also factors in. The goddamn shoes we put on little girls. I worked in childcare for a couple of years, and parents would send the boys to daycare in sturdy sandals or sneakers. The girls? Flipflops and ballet flats. The amount of times I saw girls trying to run, losing a shoe, and…
And as we’ve seen over and over in so many woman-centric arenas—sexual assault prevention foremost among them—the impulse to protect is very different from the impulse to ensure equity, and the two things, worked out in practice, are often exactly at odds.
From what I read after Alan Rickman died, the HP set was a nurturing place where the kids were treasured and mentored throughout all 8 films. That has to be part of the reason - they literally grew up in the best, most supportive environment possible for children.
Rupert Grint never even turned his in.
“She’s important because she...I just really identified with her,” Watson reflects. “I was the girl in school whose hand shot up to answer the questions. I was really eager to learn in an uncool way. In a super uncool way, actually. And then the character of Hermione gave me permission to be who I was.”
The whole site has been really fucking snarky recently. It’s almost tiring reading one sarcastic snark after another. This is a good thing. Can we just have a good thing and call it that? For once?
As someone who works in the abortion field, I am SO appreciative of this segment. John has done more to sum up what is going on in a digestible 16 minute clip than I could ever do. When you’re in the field you can obviously talk for HOURS about any topic, because you have a lot of knowledge, but also because you see…
I’m old. LOL Here’s the list. I got up early with my mom to watch Princess Anne’s wedding. I stayed up all night watching Princess Diana’s wedding, watched Sarah Ferguson’s wedding, watched (what was shown on CNN of) Prince Edward’s wedding, stayed up all night watching Prince William’s wedding... I hope to someday…
I very clearly remember the night she died. My Dad was out on a date and I had just turned 13, which was old enough to stay at home without any supervision. I stayed up past my bedtime to watch MTV and in the middle of a video, Kurt Loder comes on with breaking news. At 13, I still had hopes of somehow becoming a…
