Maybe. I think people are imposing their own interpretation on her words. Modest and dignity - I do not understand how dignity somehow implies universality. For her, modesty is dignity - but I think people are putting it on her words that she is being judgemental.
I don’t understand how people are seeing snark. She used all “I” statements. What more can one do to be sure they are only talking about their personal values?
How is she making herself “less beautiful”? She seems to enjoy wearing hijab. Certainly some people make very beautiful and stylish outfits around the scarf. One can cover up and be beautiful, not cover up and be beautiful... Not sure how you arrived at the conclusion she is “less beautiful” and it seems judgemental…
Why? She’s addressing her own personal standard, using “I” statements. For herself, this is how she maintains a feeling of dignity; no place does she say this is a standard that applies to all people.

Just go about your life. Women around you might be living in fear because of whatever reasons they have for these things. Not your responsibility to make sure everyone around you is comfortable at all times. Just don’t rape or murder any women and you’ll be doing fine.
