I wouldn’t say it’s universal for iPad exactly. You can blow it up to 2x zoom but you can do that with every iPhone app. Universal apps are usually those that will adjust to the iPad screen and not look like a blown up iPhone app.

I’m not really digging the new look. It’s like someone took Open Season and threw it into AOE. Age of Empires II is one of my favorite games and although it doesn’t really look realistic there was still a vaguely historical feel to it. I’m not getting that same impression from this game.
