I know nothing about Jessica Jones and I am to keep it that way no trailers nothing. I’m really looking forward to this, Daredevil was fantastic and I want to see more of the streets of the Marvel Universe. Agents of SHIELD does the mid-level (Aka Governmental) work well while the movies are great at the

I am so excited for this series!

Not really surprising. In professional sports, anything that is unsportsmanlike conduct is going to lead to a fine.

Feel free to watch each commercial twice then to make up for my “stealing”.

How does ads play into that? I have never. Ever. Without any doubt. Bought a product, from an ad on youtube.

I pay for an internet subscription, that is all I am willing to invest. I did not come here to watch commercials, if I wanted that I would plunk down in front of the TV.

I do, and I don’t mind YouTube ads, but there are too many malicious ads out there to not be browsing the internet with AdBlock on.

Any time I go to show a video to someone else in their office, I’m always shocked. “Ads? What is this crap?”

Do the creators see any money from this subscription fee? Or does Google just get everything?

You know there are some adblockers that block ads while at the same time making the site think you’ve seen them (I think Ublock does or did this) that way content creators still get paid and you don’t have to watch ads.

I saw this and I was like... “Youtube has ads? Huh. Didn’t know.”

Using Adblock =/= Pirating.

Piracy = “Using the Internet to illegally copy and/or distribute software, which is an infringement of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (or DMCA) in the United States.”

It’s not piracy when the content creators are willingly putting their content on a site anyone can view for free.

I fully believe in using extensions like uBlock and will continue to do so until ads stop being so intrusive and have so much tracking. I do not want Google to track every single damn Website I goto because everyone uses Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager. Google and anyone that uses either of those service from

How much of this figure do you think youtube is actually going to pay content creators?

Pirating is illegal, blocking ads is not.

Avoiding ads != pirating content, thats an extreme oversimplification. You wouldn’t give up the fast-forward button on your DVR, would you?

Exactly. As long as Adblock exist and Youtube can’t stop it. This subscription service is pointless. I’m sure Youtube added some extra perks as well but I don’t know how enticing they would be.

I’m too lazy and I don’t care enough to type it out, so something something about supporting content creators blah blah, fat lazy people should be allowed to not get real jobs.
