Demme didn’t intervene on Glaudini’s behalf

“Actor yelled at me 20 years ago” is not a news story.

Alternative headline

“We’re not protesting the event itself; we are not protesting theater; we are not protesting the emissions that brought spectators to get here. That’s not the point,”

Pierce Brosnan, having locked himself inside Kevin Costner’s trailer: “I know it’s wrong, but it feels so right.”

It’s the echo chamber effect that keeps these folks from realizing there just aren’t enough bigots and assholes to support a career after you get fired from a Star Wars TV show.

The “boop/beep” thing was a direct insult to Pedro Pascal, after he put pronouns in his bio as a show of support for his trans sister. Publicly attacking the star of the hugely successful show you somehow landed a part on is exactly the kind of stupid-as-shit career move that leads directly to working for Ben Shapiro.

What a shit ass thing to say

OR... her correct response when someone kept pestering her to name names would be, “I didn’t sleep with the guy. He didn’t even know this conversation happened and I am not going to out him now.”

Why do they plague us with all of this aspirational blah blah BS just to avoid saying “we are creating a perfect fuck buddy for you. Yes, we are hurrying.”

Extending the metaphor, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with whipping up the occasional box of Kraft Dinner after a particularly long day.

Eh, I’d say that appreciation of variety is a good thing to have. The way some people talk about entertainment, it’s like “Okay, you’re 30 now! Time to eat steak or seafood for every meal, and NO CANDY.”

“I do Cameos, and people say, ‘Oh, we’re having a Harry Potter-themed wedding,’ and I think, ‘Gosh, what’s their first night of fun going to be?’” She laments. “I can’t even think about it.”

In his last  Bond movie, he gets a little sloppy and you hear it. But for the true Brosnan voice, watch the very good Jackie Chan movie, “The Foreigner” where Brosnan is a former IRA commander trying to hold a peace deal together.

Stock buybacks aren’t inherently bad; the issue is underinvesting for a short term profit hit.  They'd find some equally BS channel for that money without buybacks (random acquisitions of smaller companies, at a guess, which could be even worse).

It puts you first in line. If it is a hit, you won’t get one in the first year if you don’t put down money now. (I’m not suggesting this is a good or bad idea, just the rationale).

I’ve seen that so many times.

I’d still rather the money be spent on developing new tech, like continuing to aim for self driving, before being spent on trains or buses. I’d rather the cash be piled up like the Joker does in that Batman movie and set light to, before it is spent on trains or buses.

It began when Boeing took over Mcdonnell-Douglas and transplanted their board and C-suite into Boeing’s, effectively making it a MDD takeover of Boeing when it was actually Boeing that actually bought MDD.
