This is true of tons of “big image” advertising... I’ve a lot of medium-size (e.g. a whole wall) street-level ads being painted on. The painters often seem to be pretty young, so I’ve always imagined it as a starving art-student summer-job kind of thing...

Real sumo can be terrifyingly fast too... many of these guys are not just huge and strong, but fast too. Sure they probably can’t keep it up for a long race, but victory often comes from a lighting-fast move.
