Personally I’ve just been renting from Hertz for the past 15 years. Seems like a better deal. You wouldn’t believe what they want for an entire car, way more than you have to pay to use it for a day.

“What is the sound of one hand punching .... YOUR FACE”
This sounds like it has a lot more “exposure” than a traditional wiper: you’ve got two long tracks (top and bottom) the wiper has to move through, and a lot more places for junk to get in and gum up the works.
American fast-food depressingly superficial and soulless, news at 11! ><
Good cat!
This is a really neat idea...
I’m surprised they haven’t put Alexa / Google voice commands into this thing yet.

I kinda like the new “base model” Kindle better than the PW, simply because it’s smaller and lighter... I sort of wish it had a bit better resolution though...

The capacitive buttons can be problem even if you never use them.... The failure mode I usually saw was that they’d activate without user interaction, e.g. the system would suddenly turn off.
The slim is pretty much the same thing as a standard PS4 (the launch one), the only difference is it’s physically smaller.

The thing is, there has to be more to it than just “we kept in touch,” because you can’t, for the most part, just contact a young child—they don’t have phones, they don’t have email, and they have limited autonomy. Any contact is necessarily going to be via their parents, or with their close cooperation.
What better alternatives do you see?

I’ve yet to run into a planet with an ocean deep enough that I couldn’t hit the bottom and make it back up to the surface without plenty of air to spare.
They are one of only 4 ground enemies (2 of which are also sentinels that are tied to wanted level, the last being an alien abomination that guards egg deposits).
I’m still surprised that they didn’t move on to other projects (maybe they have in parallel),
Sounds kinda dreadful...did you like it or hate it...?

In my previous apartment they had just covered the entire rear and side walls of the kitchen with sheet stainless steel... I always felt like I was cooking on a ship or something....

I briefly looked at Fire tablets, and as I recall the big (big) problem was that they didn’t use the normal Android Play Store, and Amazon’s app lineup is ... quite inferior to Android or iOS.
