Agree to disagree, Baby Driver is the rare movie where I sat in the theater marveling at the editing and sound design. Perhaps because the story was so shallow I needed something else to pay attention to. But I’m thrilled to see it nominated in all four editing/sound categories.

Am I going soft because I feel bad for this vlogger? Her email was polite and professional. The moose Lodge could just say “nope sorry not interested” instead of trying to embarrass her on social media. Even though they blacked her name out it would still be awful to be talked to this way. It’s pretty common knowledge

Seal, please shut the fuck up. The reason why there are so many incriminating photos of celebrities palling around with Weinstein was because he was a virus who ingratiated himself with anyone who had influence. And I find it a tad sexist that only women are being criticized with their associations with known male

I went from working at a public university where everyone’s salaries are published to a private institution where everything is hush hush and no one talks about their salaries. My department is getting ready to hire a new person at the same level as me and you bet your ass I am going to tell them how much I make. I

V true. Idk why it’s so difficult for folks to understand that this is about more than just piling on a pop star. Also she’s like the darling of the alt-right and has never really dispelled rumors that she voted for the Orange One, so I don’t think it would matter even if it was just a pile on

Lots of us don’t give a shit about Drogon either.

“letting them know the vote had put Alaska’s future with the administration in jeopardy,”

I absolutely cannot wait for this movie. The whole back story with Marston is fascinating. And I’ve always liked how kinky as hell early WW is. That tends to get brushed over in the modern representation but it’s just fascinating.

Your respectability politics is incredibly boring.

The worst part is sort of as you ease into it: at first you’re shocked at just being treated like a human again. Doors don’t slam in your face, train seats are occasionally offered, male work colleagues make unflinching eye contact.

I thought I hated the invisibility. Now that I’m losing weight I want it back. I’d rather be invisible (and healthy and fit) than feel like I do now: which is like an object and a toy.

The way I’m treated is so dependent upon my weight. I’m 5'5". I’ve been 200lbs and I honestly could’ve pulled off a heist then, for how unacknowledged I was. My weight determines how quickly cars stop for me at intersections, how demeaning the language is when men hit on me. I’m 10+ over my skinniest right now, and I

“I think that computers have complicated lives very greatly. The whole age of computer has made it where nobody knows exactly what is going on.”

As much as I do not want the orange man to be the president, I think a lot of folks are hoping this recount reveals something fishy so that they do not have to change the way they do or conceive of politics and democratic citizenship

Even he didn’t want to deal with Trump presidency.

Tom wanted the relationship to be more public than she was comfortable with.

My mom likes my name just fine, despite it being one of the most common for women around my age. I like it too. It seems like, “Ugh, all the other kids in school will have that name,” has almost replaced, “Ugh, that name is weird and people will make fun of it,” as the common name fear, but really, it seems like

Am I the only one who finds these kids cute as hell. They say a lot of stupid stuff but ultimately theyre good kids with good intentions for the world. Also Willow is hella talented.

It’s because women’s worth as human beings in our society is reduced to their worth as sexual objects, and trying to exercise some control over how beautiful you are is something that women have to grapple with in order to survive, and that’s not something that men can experience in the same way. You can’t castigate
