Also, sort of a higher risk if you fail. 1,500 is nuts. Good lord.

1,500 hours?! Christ, I’m an EMT and my initial certification was less than 200 hours! That seems bizarrely onerous.
Oh dear...
I'll say it. The cake thing is weird. Please don't make me a birthday cake and then stick it on top of 2 week old cake. Nope.
We have an intern right now and her name is Acura. She's lovely and smart but...oy vey.
Velvet Seersucker? Poplin Muslin?!
Nah, it's worth it. Thailand is incredibly beautiful. Every country has a darker side, even ours. Just be respectful, don't commit crimes, and do some research about cultural norms before you go anywhere and you're good.
Weird story: my brother and I decided we wanted to take an awesome international trip and we picked Thailand because it looked lovely in Brokedown Palace. And it was. Now we've been to a bunch of countries but I'll always love that movie and how weirded out people look when we tell them why we went to Thailand.
Ooh, Unapologetic Harlot is actually my band name so you're gonna have to fight me for it ;)
Ya house and ya spouse! Can't beat that!
My husband uses a washcloth. It smells like a butt. He, oddly, smells delightful, like the woods after a light rain. It makes no sense to me.
I don't think that's universally true. I bought my first house in 2006 and put 3% down but didn't pay PMI.
Yep, here in VA, I put down 3% on my first house. A summer of working mad overtime got me the down payment and I was good to go. I think it depends on your bank.
It's bizarre that they even care. If I had a contractor who tried to tell me what to do with my home after they finished the job, I'd fire them.
Yep, same here. I went to a small liberal arts school on the East Coast. I think we had a Greek system but I was a commuter so missed out on some of the social aspect of school. But nobody was as obsessed as the alum from big name Southern schools seem to be. I’m in my 30's now and I couldn’t tell you where most of my…
It's weird, right? I hired a kid from Ole Miss once and he had a serious devotion to the place. Like, I like my college and I got a good education but I'm not all nuts about it. It's almost cultish.
The first time I went to Juvenile and Domestic Relations court, the bailiff didn't want to let me in because my mom wasn't there. I was the arresting officer...
Well, that’s just weird. Even we lowly EMT’s are taught not to push babies (or anything) in (or out). A lot has changed since I went to EMT school in the 90's but the 3 basics are timeless:
Really? I hire people and I'd be tickled that someone was this happy to come work for us. I'd show it to everybody in the building!
Oh I just bought the first book in that series! Glad to hear it’ll be good. I just got into Victoria Thompson’s Gaslight series. It's about a turn of the century midwife in NYC who solves murders along with a NYC detective. I usually read historical fiction based in the UK so this is a fun change.
