Anyone going up for a 50/50 ball with a keeper runs that risk. The keeper got the ball, and he was the result of the follow-through. This would not be a foul if it was a 50/50 header, so why should it be now?
The previous high-sticking penalty to the Habs should have been called a butt-end infraction. That would have been an easy match penalty & game misconduct, but the refs missed it.
